Programs
D&A FUNDING: Beaver County Single County Authority provides funds for programs, trainings, and activities that increase awareness of harmful effects of ATOD use.
FGDM (Family Group Decision Making): A family-centered program that builds on the family’s strengths when addressing their concerns.
FORENSICS: Workshops on childhood development, discipline, accountability, stress management and relationship building in the Beaver County jail.
SAFE START: Pennsylvania certified driver’s education program with 30 hours of classroom theory and six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training. Classes are offered in after-school settings from 6:00-8:00 p.m., one or two days a week. Behind-the-Wheel instruction by appointment through student contact.
SAP (Student Assistance Program): SAP is a Pennsylvania state mandated program requiring all public schools to have a team of personnel trained to be able to identify and refer students experiencing barriers to learning.
SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION: Prevention specialists work with school district employees to assist in the prevention or intervention of drug and alcohol, at-risk behaviors, and/or school attendance concerns.
TOBACCO EDUCATION / TOBACCO COMPLIANCE: This program is designed to educate youth, adults and communities to collaborate together for a smoke-free Beaver County. Also, enforcement programs to prevent underage tobacco purchases. We offer Smokeless Saturday classes for students who have received a tobacco violation in their school.
