CLASS ACADEMY
Creating Learning Alternatives for Student Success
Pennsylvania certified teachers provide regular academic classes:
• English, math, science, social studies, computers, electives-in a small teacher/student ratio classroom setting
• Support services with social issues that impede academic success - anger management, conflict resolution, drug and alcohol use, career choice, etc.

Head Start Prevention Services
Positive Parenting information and support to parents identified by Head Start Staff through visits Pre-school prevention sessions as requested by Head Start staff Connecting parents to community resources
School Prevention Services
Classroom presentations in the area of prevention utilizing science based curriculum’s
• Support groups and individual sessions
• Dissemination of information to increase awareness of outcomes of at-risk behaviors
• Seminars for students, parents and school staff on the outcomes of at-risk behaviors
Signore Center for Education
Creating Learning Alternatives for Student Success by Assisting the Community Through Service. Signor Education is an alternative education program servicing students with IEP's (Individualized Education Plans) and emotional support needs.
• Pennsylvania certified teachers (in subject area and emotional support) provide academic classes and accommodations as outlined in students IEP’s (Individual Education Plan) in a small student/teacher ratio classroom setting
• Support services through a Behavioral Specialist are available to assist students in becoming academically successful
Student Assistant Program
SAP is a Pennsylvania state mandated program requiring all public schools to have a team of personnel trained to be able to identify and refer students experiencing barriers to learning.
• Program is designed to assist school staff in identifying and addressing student barriers to learning
• Commonwealth approved Student Assistance Program training
• Technical assistance for Student Assistance teams
Teen Leadership
• Annual teen conferences
• Semi-annual countywide teen conferences addressing issues for teens
• Meetings to develop in-school leadership programs
• Consulting services for sponsors
Tobacco Prevention / Tobacco Education / Tobacco Compliance
• Community programs to promote anti-tobacco information and activities
• School programs that address the effects of tobacco use
• Enforcement programs to prevent underage tobacco purchases
• Opportunity for students to become involved in the statewide BUSTED! initiative
Advocacy
The Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Advocacy Program helps incarcerated inmates with their barriers in transitioning from jail back into the community, while developing and supporting D&A outreach services to aide in their recovery.
Beaver Endorses Safety and Family Education
An internet safety program designed to teach children to be safe in their cyber community and teach parents to monitor their children in the cyber community to keep them safe.
Family Group Decision Making
A family-centered program that builds on the family's strengths when addressing their concerns.
Forensics
Workshops on childhood development, discipline, accountability, stress management and relationship building in the Beaver County jail.
Safe Start
Pennsylvania's certified driver's education program with (30) hours of classroom theory and (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training. Classes are offered in after-school settings from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., one or two days a week. Behind-the-wheel instruction by appointment through student contact.
School Based Prevention
Prevention specialists work with school district employees to assist the prevention or intervention of drug and alcohol, at-risk behaviors, and/or school attendance concerns.
Teen Leadership Corps
This program provides highschool students with the opportunity to attend annual teen conferences that address teen issues and helps teens develop in school leadership programs.
Transition Housing
This program works with adolescents in housing (ages 14-24) to prepare them for employment.
Truancy
The Truancy Program is to assess the issues that keep children out of school and reintegrate them as productive, responsible learners, increasing their chances of graduating and becoming productive members of society.
